Ready to see River!

Well, today was another busy work day for Nick and I.  River spent the day with Nana and Pap.  They said he scooted and rolled everywhere!  They also said it seemed like his gums were hurting him some.  He has been gnawing, chewing, and drooling for a while now.  The last few days this seems to be a little worse, so maybe we will have some teeth coming in soon!  Nick is on his way home with River now and I just can't wait to see him and kiss those fat cheeks!  Callie always gets really excited to see River when he stays the night away from home.  She whimpers with delight when she first sees him and always has to give him a friendly "lick" hello!  River loves Callie, too and tries to watch everything she does.

First Day To Eat Squash 

Tonight we fed River squash for the first time!  He loved it!  Nick was ready with the camera to capture the "this isn't rice" face and the "this is nasty" face, but he never made one!

From, the very beginning River has really loved rice.  So far we have tried carrots, sweet peas, green beans, and squash.  The first time he had carrots he did not like them at all, but he has slowly started to acquire a taste for them.  He loves sweet peas, but we are still working on the green beans.
